New Cards

Today is a good day! It is Friday...so happy to be at the end of the week. I have had such a week, started off really good getting lots and then I got sick, so I spent 2 days feeling really yucky...but today is going to be good! I am meeting a friend at our favorite scrapbooking store, Archivers for their make n take weekend, we will make some fun things and then enjoy a fun lunch together! It always makes you feel better to be surrounded by friends! So today is good!

Here are my cards that I made for my card swap group, we met this week and what a fun time it was, except that was when I started feeling bad so I don't think I was the life of the party!!! The first one is my card that I made and the second one is my friends, she came over and we made our cards together. Since she doesn't blog I thought it would be a nice thing to publish hers and give her credit.

I do have to go into work this afternoon to do a client that I had to reschedule due to me being sick, just an hour so it shouldn't be too bad...hoping to feel better and make it to another friend's crop tonight. I need to start working on a few cheer projects for the end of year banquet. I do have some stuff to share but that will have to wait for another post!!!

Happy Friday! It is good!

Another book of love!

Hello! I wanted to post another little mini album that I made for my hubby...I finished it last week but have been so busy I haven't had time to post it. I wanted to make sure to post it before it got to many days past the love day and it was forgotten.

There are 16 pages inside the album. I kept it all pretty simple, didn't want to make this book too thick so I did not add too many embelishments...I know pretty hard to believe for me! I am always making things to lumpy and 3-D!

I have been working on some other great cards and invitations for upcoming events...but I am saving all the other stuff for another post...can't give it all to you in one day...got to have you wanting more! Plus I need stuff to write about more often so if I share all my creations to you in one day there will be nothing left to share this week.

Did I mention that I am super busy this week? I have so much stuff I am juggling, work, cheer, work, laundry, work, housecleaing, work...can't wait for some down time soon...just not sure when that will be. Maybe mid March! Check back tomorrow for more of my latest...I might not feel so overwhelmed either!

More love stuff!

Well hello my little blog! I am so excited that I am getting better at posting to my blog...so it is not daily but I am proud of the progress I am making. I don't think I have many readers or followers to my blog, but it is so nice to just get my thoughts out! It has been busy as usual for me this week. I had some cheer deadlines and I am happy to say that I have finished them and now am starting on things for the end of year banquet, like the invites, programs, gifts and such! So much to do! Yikes! I have also planned some much needed fun scrappy time with friends this month, a girl can never get enough of that!

So I have been working on a few "love" things for my hubby this week...so keep it a secret! We wouldn't want him to find out too early! This idea came to me because I always like to make little signs for the cheerleaders and what a cute idea to make one for hubby to hang at his desk at work! The little book is my fave! I just love creating little mini albums, I never get tired of making them and they make such a nice gift!

Cheer Goodies!

So I am finally getting around to posting all of my latest stuff I have been working on for cheerleading...I am glad to say that this season is almost finished, it is just pure exhausting! Don't get me wrong I do love creating all of the fun stuff for the girls but I just get overwhelmed with all the other things that I have to do! For the past 2 years I have taken on the job of President of the cheer booster club and team mom for the squads and I think it is just too much! I am stretched so thin with my time and there always seems to be a deadline looming over my head...when I finish one thing I have something else to do! I know that it is not forever but at some point I have to say NO!!! So this year is that time, going forward I plan to only take on 1 job for next season...don't know what that will be but I feel that if I am only doing one thing I can really concentrate on that and not feel so overwhelmed. I bring this on myself by committing to these volunteer positions and over the years I have definitely said NO! I use to be involved in my church teaching, girl scouts, cheerleading, chorus, room mom, and countless other volunteer jobs...so I have to say that I have definitely cut back...what will I do when I don't have little ones home anymore...will I find something else to fill my time? I am sure with all of my hobbies I will find something, or possibly work more at the salon...who knows???
I am just going to trust that God will direct me in the path that I am to take! That is all I can do!

New look to my blog

I am so thrilled I finally learned how to change my background for my blog...I know that sounds silly, but I have really been struggling trying to figure it out. I am loving getting these free backgrounds from HERE! Check them out, they have tons of different options.
So I have been working on lots of deadlines for cheerleading...so much is going on and I just don't have enough time in the day to get it all done. I am so glad to have the season almost over, nver before have I felt this way, but this year has just been one of those years! Life itself has been crazy! I keep thinking I need some down time, but actually I just need an assistant to do some of my work for me!!! Like that would ever happen!
I do like this time of year for me because I spend more time at home, maybe not time with my family because I am preoccupied, but home based is a good feeling!
I will be back later with photos of my latest creations...been working on cheer stuff and got tons more to do!

Love is in the air!

I am trying this year to be so much better about updating my blog...it is working...although I am not posting daily but maybe once a week. It's a start!

Today is my sisters birthday! Thought I would give a shout out to her in case she ever comes and reads my blog!!!
Happy Birthday Maria-hope it is a wonderful day!!!

Here are the latest cards I made, since Valentines is around the corner and I have a little card group I am a part of...I thought what the heck! I am never so on top of the holidays, they usually come and go so quickly and I always think...wish I had time to make something. Well this time I did, tell me what you think...

Happy New Year

As will everything in my life it is always a day or two...or even a week late!!! So I try! Happy New Year! This year has started off in a frenzy! I still have Christmas decorations up at my house...how many of you still have yours up? I am hoping this weekend to find the time to take everything done and get back to some normalcy around here. HA! HA! Who am I kidding? Normalcy...in the Goswick home! Okay, okay...just want to get on with the next adventure waiting around the corner! Don't know what that is going to be, but I know that January marks a busy time for cheerleading, we have banquets to plan, fundraisers to do, budgets to make, pictures to edit, gifts to be bought, all of the crazy end of year stuff! So from January to mid March I have my hands full of cheerleading related things!!! Makes me a little crazy just thinking about it!!! Just think in a little over a year Miranda will graduate and I may never have to think about cheerleading again...am I a little sad, NOT!!! I will miss it yes, but other doors will open and I will do other things...what I don't know. As for now I hope to learn the word no! That is a good start!
I am not one for making New's Years Resolutions but I do like to think of a word to focus on...this year it is going to be HOPE!
HOPE-for a better life
HOPE- for a better economy
HOPE-for a closer family
HOPE-for more time to spend together
HOPE-my kids will clean their rooms
HOPE-my cholesterol will go down with out taking medication!
HOPE-a heathlier year for my family than last year!
HOPE-Miranda can choose a college she is excited about attending
HOPE-that we can afford that college!
I just have so much to hope for this year...what are your hopes for the year?
